Hello Oliver Families! My name is Christina Anderson and I am excited to be the new Assistant Principal at Oliver Elementary. Before coming to Oliver, I spent 5 years in the Reynolds School District working with behavior systems, Restorative Justice, and as a School Improvement TOSA. Prior to this I taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade in the Oregon City School District. While I enjoyed the opportunities to learn and grow in both of my previous districts, I am excited to be a part of the Centennial School District and work with you and your family.
I have lived in Oregon my whole life and cannot imagine being anywhere else! After growing up in a small farm town in Eastern Oregon, I attended Oregon State University. There I completed my bachelor degree in Human Development and Family Science. After, I went directly to Portland State University where I completed my Masters Degree in Education. While I loved my time in the classroom teaching, I knew my place in education was going to take me down a different path. I returned to Portland State University and completed my Administrative Licensure program in 2011.
Along with getting to spend time with your amazing kids, I have three to welcome me home at the end of the day. My oldest will be a second grader this year. He is followed by my middle child who will be in first and my daughter who turned two last spring. We enjoy traveling together and spending time with family and friends. I love the opportunity be a part of their team as I watch them learning and growing through their own experiences in elementary school with friends and teachers.
As September approaches, I am more and more excited to get to know you and your family. Fall is my favorite time of year with the excitement that a new school year brings. As we continue to work together, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
